Operational Properties
MICROLITE is a new forming fabric developed by Cristini for applications that require high FSI and an extremely planar surface for sheet smoothness and printability.
Produced on looms dedicated to this design, it is a very compact design, thereby allowing high water flow without excess void volume which slows the water removal process on short dwell time applications..
The significant advantage of this design is to provide a very high dewatering capacity and a very high fiber support index, a combination not possible in older fabric designs.
The high FSI results in the highest level of wire side planarity possible, thereby providing a smoother and more printable surface.
The high number of pattern repeats, provides additional planarity during the fabric life with constant drainage, even using very thin yarns.
MICROLITE ST
MICROLITE ST is recommended in all high speed machines and for all machine configurations, from flat fourdriniers to gap former configurations.
MICROLITE LE
MICROLITE LE is recommended on all applications where the Energy consumption or guiding problems are real issues.
To address these, we use our dedicated material, Polimaster, “activated” polyester with low coefficient of friction.
MICROLITE XL
MICROLITE XL is recommended for situations that involve sheets with abrasive fillers or generally for all high abrasion machines.
